Scott got his "arts start" at the City of Glasgow College.
Working his way through theatre school, he juggled acting/theatre classes while working nightshift.
While reading scripts in the library one day, Scott stumbled across an unused but very poignant stage play with a provocative political/economic message, called "Singing I'm No A Billy, He's A Tim" (by Des Dillon) .... and decided to test it by performing it at college among peers. It was well-received, so in 2005 Scott formed his own Theatre Production Company called "No Limit People" (NLP), and left college to take his play on the road.
As momentum picked-up for NLP's provocative stage play, Scott began performing to sold-out audiences all over Scotland, and into Ireland. The stage play became a cultural phenomenon as it attracted first-time theatre-goers, and broke socio-economic barriers bringing Catholics and Protestants and blue-collar and white-collar audiences together nationwide.
Scott's hard work culminated in being awarded The Stage Best Actor Award in 2010, and became his first success story.... and this is where his career began.
Here's a small clip of his performance (explicit language warning ⚠️)
Scott's first movie role was as the antagonistic bully "Clancy" in the Ken Loach film "The Angels Share" (2012)
In 2014 Scott had the honor of portraying war veteran Corporal Stu Pearson in the biographic film "Kilo Two Bravo" (a.k.a. "Kajaki").
In 2017 Scott was honored by the United States Marine Corp during his surprise visit to Quantico military base in Virginia.
Scott also appeared as Kenny McFadden on the U.K. Soap opera "The Crews" for 6 episodes (2016)
in 2016 Scott joined the Outlander family as the beloved "Ross the Smith from Lallybroch" for several episodes in the send half of Season 2 (2016)
